About BiG Organics and Naturals
About Us
Who We Are
BiG is a for-profit health-focused agribusiness that delivers sustainable regenerative solutions promoting symbiosis between human communities and their ecosystems.
Vision
To realign with nature in our pursuit of health, community wellness, ecological restoration, sustainable agroecology, and individual sovereignty. We envision a world where people are in tune with the natural rhythms of the Earth, cultivating a sense of purpose, interconnectedness, and sovereignty over their choices.
Mission
To empower individuals to take charge of their health while nurturing the well-being of our planet. We strive to create a world where the cultivation of holistic health, community empowerment, ecological restoration, sustainable agroecology, and individual sovereignty go hand in hand.
The Problem
Our work responds directly to irresponsible production and consumption, mismanagement of waste, poverty, loss of biodiversity, unemployment, food insecurity, water stress, land degradation, climate change, desertification, and poor health and malnutrition.
Our Agroecological Approach
Our approach rests on four pillars, aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
- Circular economy and nutrient recycling — transforming waste products into valuable agricultural bio-inputs.
- Enhanced organic crop production — using bio-inputs to improve yields and quality and to suppress diseases and pests.
- Creating demand for organic products — creating awareness of organic products and their benefits.
- Research and innovation — conducting research leading to improved methods, better nutrient management, and more efficient application of techniques.
Community Empowerment & Environmental Protection
This work is aligned to SDGs 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 15 — running a functional agribusiness to alleviate poverty, encouraging food sovereignty, encouraging people to eat right, offering job opportunities to both men and women, protecting the natural environment, offering alternative bio-fuels, building smart circular economy designs, minimizing pollution, and practicing responsible waste management.
